On behalf of all the wonderful children, staff and governors at Normanton Junior Academy, I would like to thank you for visiting our school website.
If your child is new to the school, we warmly welcome you and look forward to a successful partnership between home and school. If your child already attends NJA, we will work with you to build on the existing links, by providing the best education possible. If you would like your child to attend our school, then please, get in touch – we’d love to hear from you. But, if you are passing by, you are very welcome and I hope you enjoy sharing the very best of NJA!
Being a Headteacher is the best job in the world and I was privileged to be given the opportunity to lead and serve our wonderful school from April 2021 and I’ve certainly never looked back!
Our school is truly a wonderful place, where all children are loved, cherished and nurtured. It is a vibrant school where children are happy, confident and enthusiastic in their learning.
My priority as Headteacher is to ensure that Normanton Junior Academy continues to be a beacon of excellence within Waterton Academy Trust, as well as the local community, making the necessary improvements and developments to ensure success is shared by all. Not only do I want all of our children to academically achieve, I want them to continue to become model citizens of Normanton, who are ready for life in Modern Britain.
‘Together We Learn’ in a truly outstanding way! At NJA we strive for a culture of excellence and impact. We endeavour to bring our curriculum alive through quality first hand experiences within a tailored and personalised curriculum for all our children.
I am fully committed to, and know how vital, working in partnership with parents really is, in order for your child to find school a positive and rewarding experience. I strongly believe achievement and enjoyment go hand in hand, and we pride ourselves on having high expectations in all areas; only the best is good enough for our children and my staff strive to meet the needs of all learners.
As a parent myself, I am very much aware of the responsibility the staff and I have in ensuring that the highest standard of teaching and learning is evident in all aspects of school and that all our children continue to receive a consistently good or better education, and I will always remain resolute with this mission.
The staff and Academy Standards Committee are extremely appreciative of the support that the school receives from parents, and members of the school community, in order to benefit our children.
NJA is a fast-paced school with an exceptionally supportive and outward facing leadership team, complimented by a forward-thinking and innovative Trust and we hope our website showcases some of this work! Please also take the time to follow us on Facebook – @WatertonNJA and on Twitter – @WatertonNJA
Prospective parents are welcome to have a tour of school and we look forward to welcoming you! My door is certainly always open and should you wish to speak to me, please contact our superb Admin Team.
