I joined the school as Deputy Headteacher in 2014 and thoroughly enjoy working with the children of Normanton Juniors. I am an Everton fan and love playing football, as well as the occasional round of golf. I also love writing, trying to use the power of language to amuse and entertain. Numbers have always interested me, leading to an office full of graphs and tables. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, especially going to the beach and playing Pokémon Go.
I have been a teacher for nearly seven years having decided later in life to go back and study teaching at University. I don’t know where the time has gone but I am extremely excited to be starting a new journey with NJA as your SENDCo. Children with special educational needs have always been my passion, I love to find new ways to make sure that every child can achieve their full potential no mater what barriers they may face.
Working with children means that every day is different and that’s definitely the best part of my job!
When I am not working I am a busy mum to three teenagers and our little puppy Stella who is very sweet!

With regards to hobbies, Miss Wright seems to take up a new hobby every few months as, so far this year, she has done: boxing, cycling, running and dancing. Let's hope she can find a hobby she can stick to; she is open to suggestions and trying new things!
