SCHOOL ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

Our Whole School Attendance Target for 2023-2024 is: 95%

At Normanton Junior Academy, we firmly believe that regular attendance is vitally important to ensure the best possible outcomes for all of our children. Regular attendance means your child can make the most of their education, thus improving their chances in adult life.
Being in school will also help your child’s social skills, such as making and keeping friendships.  A regular and punctual attendance pattern will help your child when they enter the world of work.
To ensure your child gets the best possible start to their education, we ask that you support regular school attendance and punctuality.

If you require any support regarding your child’s attendance, then please contact a member of our Attendance Team:

  • Mr Berry (Deputy Headteacher)
  • Mrs Zammuto (Pastoral Support Officer)
  • Mrs Sherrard (Waterton Academy Trust Education Welfare Officer)

Normanton Junior Academy has been awarded an FFT National School Attendance Award because of our impressive attendance data for the Autumn Term 2022 when compared to all other FFT primary schools in similar circumstances.
The national average for pupil attendance is 95% and as a school we’re achieving this most weeks and things continue to improve so a huge thank you from us, to you, for ensuring your child attends school and is able to access their full curriculum entitlement!
